Recommendations for carpet tile installation
Below you will find a brief guide with tips for the installation of your Lead Carpet Tile.
- Clean the existing surface of dust.
- Removes any other encrusted dirt from the surface.
- If the floor is uneven with potholes and cracks, you should level it with some self-levelling mortar according to the thickness you require.
- In case of underfloor heating, check with the manufacturer whether their system is suitable for this type of carpet.
- To fix the carpet tiles to the floor, we recommend you use the water-based fixative for self-supporting tiles.

Here is also a list of equipment and tools that will make it easier to lay carpet tiles.
- A hand or electric cutter for cutting. Cuts should be made on the back of the tile.
- A square of at least 50cm to mark the entire cutting guide line.
- Pencil or fine marker to draw guide lines for the cuts.
- Painter's roller and telescopic extension for easy application of the fixative.
- We advise you to use a line marker to mark the carpet guide.
- Don't forget to wear cutting gloves and knee pads to protect yourself.
