Where to place the outdoor decking?
When we think of adding an extra space to our home, an outdoor decking is always a striking and more than pleasant idea. However, we must take into account some elements so that our project can be used to the maximum and does not end up falling into disuse.
If the location that we think will be suitable is too sunny or too shady, the outdoor decking will end up not being used as it will not fulfil its function. For this reason, one of the first elements to keep in mind is the orientation of our house.
Secondly, we should not choose a place that is used as a passage from one room to another, or at the entrance of the home, as it will not serve as a place to rest. A correct location to place the exterior flooring It can be one that does not support too much movement of people, nor does it obstruct the natural circulation to the outside. If this is the case, it is better to choose a more secluded location.
Obviously, if you have a good view, be it towards a lake or a forest, you should not miss the opportunity to make the most of it by locating the outdoor decking with a view to that objective. In these cases the view would supersede some of the above considerations.
This does not take away from the shady or warm aspect. If the project is intended as a recreational area for children or for dining, it should be understood that the surface area will have to be larger, and consequently the cost will be higher and the structure more complex. On the other hand, if it is very close to circulation, bays can be created to serve as a small relaxation area.
Choose from wood decking, exotic woods such as ipe or the recent trend of bamboo, synthetic outdoor decking also known as composite decking or technology decking.
